The story below explains how Communication Partner began.

In 2003, I had a patient’s family member ask me for something they could use at home to continue their speech therapy. I was familiar with the software programs available for aphasia therapy. But, my elderly patient lacked the motor skills to use a computer and did not like computers.

After realizing no other alternatives existed, I developed the Everyday Objects video in 2004. I created my video to be an easy, non-intimidating way to provide at home aphasia therapy.

My original video has helped hundreds of people in the last few years. We now have 6 DVDs separated in two distinct Levels of therapy.

My videos are not meant to be entertaining. Therapy is hard work for the patient. These videos deliver techniques used by speech therapists in actual therapy sessions. Of course there is no guarantee therapy will work for all cases, but these videos have worked for many people. Success Stories
